The Big Picture was created as a showcase and resource for filmmakers wanting to produce feature films in the UK. Its intended audience was US professionals and was part of an initiative to introduce producers and directors to the range of services and facilities available to productions. Distributed as a DVD, The Big Picture consists of twenty-seven individual documentaries covering the whole range of production services and a searchable directory of over 700 facilities companies. The Big Picture went on to receive the DVD Europa Award for Best Factual Disc of the Year.
